I was finding that I was feeling tired during the day when I was used to having plenty of energy. I am proactive with my health so I started looking at all the things it could be. Adrenal exhaustion, thyroid related issues, food allergies, the list goes on and on to what may cause low energy. I tried supplements and adjusting my diet but I could not seem to get a handle on it. I would be better for a while, then one day I would hit the wall of no energy and could not figure out what had changed one day to the next.
Then on the second day of no energy I asked myself deeply, “What is causing this?” Soon after, something crossed my computer screen on B12. Since I had just asked the question, and this appeared in a newsletter that I regularly get, I thought perhaps I should listen to the YouTube video on B12. It was called Symptoms of B12 Deficiency. Actually, YouTube is flooded with videos on B12 deficiencies. There my symptoms appeared again. So I went to the local health food store and got some B12 liquid made from fruits and veggies. I start taking it and within days my energy level was better than it had been in years! And although it has only been a few weeks, I have not had any low or uneven energy days. I know this has been long enough to have hit a dip before.
If you or any of your loved ones have problems with energy, concentration, weakness, plus many more symptoms, or is an elder, perhaps you are deficient in B12. It seems that this is more common than we would think, with statistics ranging from 40% upward of the population with B12 deficiency.
So glad for YouTube and all the information we have at our finger tips. One of the documentaries that I listened to said that B12 deficiencies are being masked because so much of our food is being fortified with B6, Niacin. This may be helpful for B6 problems but it also leaves low B12 levels undetected. It also said that if you are testing for it you need to check tissue levels. Since most people are relying on blood levels they may think that their B12 levels are fine when they are not.
All I can say is I love my B12 supplement. It has make a huge difference in the quality of my day to day life!
